Who We Are?

The Feline Rescue Group is a Foster based feline rescue. Centrally located in Aurora Illinois. The group works by rescuing felines from shelters all over the local city of Aurora, and the city of Chicago. We also have rescued many felines from even Oklahoma, Our hearts are poured out in the lovely rescue of each feline. And personalized care is giving to each individual feline. We spend so much time traveling to collect these lovely felines who without you may not even exist anymore, since many come from high kill rate shelters. What difference you make for these felines. Will save a feline from being destroyed. Thank You! Ray----Founder of the Feline Rescue Group

Recent Rescues

It's springtime, and it's Kitten season!

We recently obtained a litter of cute little felines, who's mother abandoned them in a garage located on the south side of the City of Chicago. One of our foster members said the felines would have headed to the Chicago Shelter. The ACC of Chicago. But were intercepted prior to being sent away. And maybe forever. There is 7 kittens in the litter, and please review the photo pages so that you too may get a glimpse of the wonderful and adoptable felines.

Our Moto

Our Rescue Group works as a foster rescue. We recover kittnes that are destined to be euthanized. How can anyone do such a thing? All our fees, donations and proceeds go to furthering a better life for the precious little felines. Please understand that if $30, or $50, $100 or even $200 is too much money to save the life of one of these little kittens.

Then you are NOT ready for a PET!

Anyone who wishes to adopt a rescued feline, and only thinks of price as a issue, then that kitten will most liikely end up with someone who doesn't care for the kitten at all when urgent care will be needed.

Things to consider about adopting a feline

Here are a few adoption guidelines to consider.

Things to Consider Before Adopting a Kitten

Congratulations on taking the first step toward adopting a cat.

As you search the FRG website for your feline

friend, it will be easy to fall in love with one of the many cute and playful kittens and to assume it will grow into the adult cat you have always wanted.

With a lifespan of 15 to 20 years, and sometimes longer, your adventure with your kitten will be brief, but the cat he grows into will be a member of your family for

a very long time. Before adopting a kitten, be sure you take the following points into consideration.

The kitten you adopt may not grow into the cat you want.

If a certain personality trait such as outgoing, affectionate, or lap cat, is at the top of your list of wants

for a cat, a kitten may not be the best choice for you.

• Sometimes the most affectionate kittens can grow up to be shy, independent or aloof, despite the

best care after adoption.

• A cat’s personality development begins to take shape in the first few weeks of its life. Its future

relationship to humans can be formed by numerous  factors: its mother’s own feelings toward

people, how much it is handled prior to eight weeks, or its hereditary disposition to shyness and independence.

Are you looking for a specific breed, color or size?

FRG sees cats of every color, breed and size.

• While we do not recommend ever declawing a cat, we understand there are people who for various reasons prefer cats without claws.

• Because kittens are generally only available in the spring and summer months, there is a greater demand for them. This may make it difficult to find the kitten you want in the color you desire.

• Another common assumption is that cats/kittens that have been outdoors will not adjust to being indoor cats/kittens.  Previously

outdoor cats/kittens can do very well indoors, where they are safe from cars, the elements, disease, and other animals, and where their lifespan can double.
